The Future of the Middle East: Regional and Global Balances of Power
With its ethnic and sectarian conflicts, strategic position in the global struggles for power, debates on terrorism and democratization, Middle East has become a focal point of both international politics and academic studies in the fields of political science, security and international relations.
To make a contribution to the academic studies, Istanbul Gelisim University will host several prominent researchers and academicians from Europe, Turkey and other countries in the region, and organize the Third International Middle East Symposium on March 17th, 2017 with the title “The Future of the Middle East: Regional and Global Balances of Power”. The symposium will scrutinize not only the actual and regional aspects of the current developments in Middle East, but also their historical and global backgrounds.
